Guided ebike Trips on Dartmoor
Our ebikes make exploring Dartmoor fun and easy. We can take up to 5 people aged 14 and upwards. We always tailor our trips to your needs and don’t mix groups. We have trips from Okehampton (north moor trips) and Princetown (mid moor trips) and offer short 15-20 km or a longer 25-30 km trips.
Beginner trips
Suitable for anyone with very basic bike skills. On our beginner trips we explore Dartmoor using tarmac and gravel tracks giving you a more relaxed ride . If you want to get out and see how stunning Dartmoor and Devon is on smoother tracks this trip is for you.
Off road trip
Being comfortable standing up on pedals is a must to make the most of these trips. These trips are spent on bridlepaths, disused railways and moorland tracks. If your happy riding few rougher tracks these trips won’t disappoint.

North Moor trips, Okehampton
Okehampton Train Station short trips 15-20km £60 per head
Beginner trip
This is the smoothest/easiest trip we offer on the northern moors. We make our way up to the highest point on Dartmoor that you can access by bike. You will be reward with a stunning 360-degree view of Dartmoor.
Off road trip
We make our way over the moors and up the Okement valley with some great views and on a clear day you can see all the way to the sea. Our ebikes will help you conquer the rocky climbs and tracks.

Meldon to lydford 15-20km £60 per head
Short off-road trip
We start our ride at Meldon reservoir and make our way to the village of Lydford using bridle ways, The Granite way, and quiet country lanes. This ride takes in Sourton Tor which has great views across to Cornwall and Great Nodden Tor.
This ride also passes some great local pubs, so if you want to make a day of it, please contact us and we can book a table at one of them. This is one of our smoother off-road trips.



Meldon Reservoir 25-30km £80 per head
Long off-road trip
We use the Granite Way to make our way up onto the moors from Belstone, from here we explore the moors above Okehampton before a great descent takes us back to the Meldon Reservoir. This is a true adventure ride with great views and riding.



Northern Explorer
Extra-long off-road adventer trip: 35-40km £100
This is the longest trip we run and it really shows why we love riding ebikes. We have combined all the best riding and views in the area to make a great all-day adventure with a pub stop mid-ride for lunch and drinks. Being such long trip some battery management is needed.



Midmoor Trips, Princetown and Burrator
Mid moor short trip
Beginner trip: 15-20km £65
We use quite country lanes and bridleways to make our way to Burrator Reservoir. Taking in views of Pew tor we can call in to a local pub for refreshments on route. This a great trip if you looking for a smoother, gentler trip while also taking the scenery.
Mid moor long trip
Long off-road trip: 25-30km £85
Starting from Princetown we explore the area using gravel tracks, quiet lanes and some bumpier moorland tracks. This route takes in views of Burrator reservoir and Sheeps tor and is full of history. This is our more gentle smoother off road ride.
Grimspound
Long adventurer trip: 20-25km £85
Our Grimspound ride is one of the more challenging rides. Starting in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park it has a bit of everything, longer climbs and longer faster descents. This ride also takes in some of the rich history Dartmoor is famous for; Bronze age settlements in Grimspound, Jays Grave and the highest pub in Devon.









FAQs
Q- Do I need to Pedal?
A-Yes, you will need peddle our ebikes, they are peddle assisted, the motor adds to your input.
Q- How long will the battery last?
A- Manufacturers quote battery ranges between 20-100 miles depending on the level of assistance needed. This is affected by rider weight and the terrain. We have designed our rides to be able to use the higher levels of assistance for the majority of the ride without having to worry about running out of battery.
Q- Will the ride still happen if its raining?
A- Yes, unless it becomes unsafe and that decision will be made by Dartmoor ebiking. We will do our best to offer an alternative date.
Q- What size bikes do you have
A- we have two small bikes for anyone 5ft , two medium bikes for 5ft3 one large bike 5ft7.
